This will qualify you for the SAS Day Skipper Course.
Basic Requirements : Completed a competent crew course and 100 nm sailing experience as crew.
Day Skipper prerequisites are:
- 200 nm as active crew member
- 2 hours night sailing
- 1 night entry
- VHF Marine Radio operators licence
- Eye test
During the practical sailing course you will do approximately 100 nm sailing.
There are a few essentials for the course:
- The practice Chart SAN 3002
- Parallel ruler, Dividers,
- Basic calculator
- Stationary ( Pencil eraser,
- The International Rules for Prevention of Collisions air Seas (HO-15)
Day Skipper Privileges
- Up to 15nm from your home Port by Day
- Sport and Recreation only on vessel up to 100 GT
